Music Theater Works’ season kicks off with what many believe is the “perfect musical” with every song in its score a part of the American musical canon. Guys and Dolls whisks audiences from Manhattan to Havana and back again with career gambler Sky Masterson, “Save-A-Soul” missionary Sarah Brown, Adelaide, Nathan Detroit and others in this exuberant, big, brassy musical. Our performance home at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie recently shared updated new safety procedures for future productions.

The new procedures include:

Attendees will be directed to enter using the door closest to their performance space. Each guest must have a ticket, pass or credential to gain entrance to the venue. On busy performance nights when both theatre spaces are in use, audiences may be asked to use both front and side entrances to keep the lines moving. Please follow instructions provided as you arrive at the Center.

In addition, for the safety and security of our guests, employees, and performers, all guests are subject to a reasonable search and inspection of any parcels, bags or purses and hand-held metal detectors may be used. Purses or bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are not permitted in the venue. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted but will be subject to search. Clear bags are encouraged to keep the security process moving along quickly. Guests may return any prohibited items to their vehicle or dispose of the items prior to entering. No re-entry is permitted.

A single ticket purchase may exchange their ticket for another performance of the same production for a fee of $8.If Music Theater Works cancels or postpones a show, customers may exchange to another performance of the same production (subject to availability) or receive a credit on their account, which they can use for any other production or subscription.
